The “Little San Francisco” of the Northwest is hosting the 3rd annual Astoria Film Festival October 16-18. All films will be screened at Astoria’s beautifully restored Liberty Theater. The event includes a screening of the 1925 classic silent film Ben-Hur, with commentary by Ted Mahar of The Oregonian.
This year they have expanded the Q & A sessions to give the filmmakers an opportunity to meet their audience and vice-versa. The festival includes a Tadpole Children’s Film Festival, also at the Liberty Theater.
